Like I said on Monday, today marks a big extravaganza here at The Hot Route. I collected 24 Super Bowl picks from some excellent blogs and included them below. The whole point of this was to collect the best of the best (kinda like Top Gun without the homoeroticism - not that there's anything wrong with that) blogs and their picks and put it in one special place: here. If this is your first time visiting The Hot Route, you have no idea what you've been missing. And if this isn't your first time, well, a big hello to my Mom and two brothers. Thanks so much to the bloggers who helped me out. Now on to my pick, followed by the collection of blogs that participated and their picks.
Making the pick
So it all comes down to this. Eli vs. Brady. Coughlin vs. Belichick. The entire sports nation vs. Pats fans. Let's be honest - practically everyone wants the Pats to lose this game. People loath the Pats. They hate Brady and his Stetson, and they hate Belichick and his cheating. But do any of the haters (that would be me) have the guts to pick the Gmen in the big game?
I've been championing the Giants throughout the playoffs. I picked them against
I think the Giants will get to Brady more than last time, but I don't think it'll matter. The Pats are evil and they are doing their whole "business as usual" routine, trying to convince everyone that they are the best team ever. And as much as I hate them, maybe they are. The key for the Pats to win is to make sure Eli goes back to regular season Eli (league leader in interceptions) by getting him to throw passes like a 12 year-old, right into the arms of the Pats' defense.
